Aida64 and prime95 have different temperatures.
Hey guys, I've been working on getting my CPU to overclock but things got a bit tricky. My tests with Prime95 showed 65C on an FX8350 at 4300MHz, and after trying to push it to 4400MHz for a few minutes, my PC would freeze. Adding more voltage didn’t help. When I ran AIDA64, it only reached 41C max. I’m looking for benchmarks that give consistent results for regular use without crashes or freezes. (I’m open to overclocking further if needed.)
The latest Prime95 version is quite demanding. It causes the CPU to run much hotter compared to other stress tests, especially when running the toughest one. I prefer using AIDA 64 for my testing purposes. Prime95 has shown temperatures 15°C higher than any other tool I've used.
