Aftermath of the invasion A tale of survival and ruin The lingering shadows of war
Hey everyone, just received a message from the developers of WarZ (Infestation). Here’s what they shared: Welcome to Romero's Aftermath Early Access Alpha! Romero's Aftermath is the next-gen version of the well-known zombie survival title Infestation: Survivor Stories, also known as WarZ. The team behind Infestation aimed to deliver a fresh experience for fans while preserving the core elements that made it successful, steering clear of past controversies and simple errors. Unfortunately, we couldn’t implement changes due to partnership restrictions with Infestation's publisher, OP Productions LLC. We had to pause and start anew. We think this new version could be one of the best zombie survival games available, and we’re committed to letting all Infestation players test it out. To make it happen, we’re offering the game for free to everyone with an active account once it goes live in Open Beta. In the meantime, join us in the Early Access Alpha. As a special gesture of appreciation for our dedicated players over the past three years, we’ve created a FREE founders package so you can try Romero's Aftermath without spending any money. This game has been shaped by over three years of work on Infestation, with a focus on improving every aspect. Check out the videos highlighting the key updates we’ve made. If you’re familiar with WarZ, will you give this a shot?
I tried the alpha just for fun after logging 50 hours of infestation survivor stories before the restrictions were lifted. I heard that once it hits Steam, everyone who owns infestation survivor stories will get a free copy. But after playing just half an hour, it feels almost like regular infestation. The graphics aren’t great, and I didn’t spot any zombies during that time. You can still join official PVE servers—they might offer something better this time, though there’s a chance things could go wrong again.
