Overclocking with After Burner and now WMI causes immediate crashes. Initially nothing happened, but later under heavy load at peak overclocks it failed at around 717MHz on the core. Even minor actions like adjusting fan curves trigger crashes, forcing a restart of the WMI service and playing stock mode. The driver I use is from Nvidia.

You're referring to a driver that will become outdated soon, and it's not related to overclocking issues. There might be another factor affecting your system.

can't set up the latest version because it uses WMI. The process often vanishes unexpectedly, clocks drop, and I'm unsure if it crashes or something else occurs. It seems to fail afterburner, but opening it might cause more issues.

It functioned previously, but the only change was the afterburner version. I plan to install an older version to test its performance.

Yes, you can proceed without losing data if you use a reliable backup method. Consider backing up your data to an external storage device or cloud service before making any changes.

It seems there isn't a reset feature in Windows that preserves your data. Since your main files are stored on gDrive, you can simply erase and reinstall everything whenever needed.
