After upgrading the GPU to 4080, Arch Linux fails to boot.
Arch stopped starting after the upgrade from GTX 970 to 4080. It freezes during boot at the graphical interface and blocks many notifications. I can access the terminal as root but can’t reach the desktop. This might be because 4080 isn’t fully supported in the latest NVIDIA drivers.
The proprietary driver, likely from Nvidia, suggests drivers 525.53 or 525.60.11. Currently, searching for "nvidia" in the package locator reveals Arch's main Nvidia package at 520.56.06, while the updated 525.60.11 is in the testing repository. You can join the repository or wait, as it shouldn't take too long. Nouveau doesn't yet support the card.
