You just moved from a Ryzen 2600 to a 5600, but your PC won’t power on. After the update, BIOS was fixed, no bent pins were found, and you checked the RAM placement.

What kind of motherboard are you using? Have you confirmed the BIOS is updated to a version that supports the 5600 chipset?

Consider reinstalling your old CPU into the board. If it functions, proceed with the new one. If neither works, it's likely the chip isn't compatible with the motherboard. (The pins should be fine.)

Ensure you record your BIOS version before swapping the old CPU with the new one.

The pins are working okay. I'm using a Gigavyte B450 DS3H and the latest BIOS that supports it. I've experimented with reverting to the 2600 model but had no luck. Allowing the CMOS to sit for a while might help. Probably means I'll need a new motherboard eventually.

There seems to be a problem with your motherboard. You might try connecting the battery terminals together and briefly touching them (using a metal object) to see if it works. Wait 5-10 seconds, then reinsert the battery and try starting again. I’m not sure what might have caused this, and I’m not familiar with AMD connectors or chips.

I reviewed the motherboard BIOS versions and confirmed the 5600 compatibility with F62 or newer. Only those BIOS versions are supported: F62, F63a, and F63c. To be sure, did you install one of these correctly?

The BIOS part of your board advises you to update the BIOS to version F32 before installing any newer updates. You can find more details here: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B45...rt-dl-bios Have you done this? Did you verify that all other components are properly connected? It’s possible something was removed or not seated correctly.

The board included version F41 by default. At the time of purchase, it was already configured for Ryzen 3000 processors.
