Hi, I'm just starting out with PC building and recently switched from a Ryzen 3 3200G to a Ryzen 9 5900X. Before that, I was using iGPU with the Ryzen 3, so I bought a GPU—Nvidia 3060—to match the new CPU. After some troubleshooting, I realized the issue only appeared when using the new CPU; the GPU would work fine otherwise. The fans would spin but nothing else. My motherboard still shows VGA and BOOT signals. I noticed the display port was connected to the graphics card, and I updated the BIOS to version 2.8. I've also tried re-seating the RAM and GPU, and upgraded my power supply to 850W, thinking there wasn't enough power.
Can you view the BIOS screen using the 5900x display and GPU? Are you able to utilize the GPU fully with the 3200g? Please verify if the BIOS update was successful—perhaps a re-flash is needed since this MOBO requires a new BIOS for the 5000 series. Ensure the monitor is connected via the correct cable. Remove the CMOS chip and wait briefly, then perform a manual power-on with the PSU disconnected; confirm the motherboard has fully drained before reinserting the battery.
