I own two machines. One is a B450 Tomahawk with a 1600AF processor. The other is a B550 Strix equipped with a 5600 CPU. I recently added a 5800X3D to the B550 setup. After updating the BIOS, everything functioned properly. Attempting to install the 5600 in the B450 caused problems. Once installed, the system consistently enters BIOS mode. After checking the MSI documentation, I suspected the BIOS wasn't suitable for the 5600, so I performed an update but it still loops back. Post-update, the BOOT debug LED illuminated (previously there was a debug LED). I removed one drive, reset CMOS, but the issue persisted. I haven't reinstalled the 1600AF yet. Any suggestions? I'm at a loss.

It could be the RAM, or there might be a defect. Review the supported RAM list for the CPU.

I resolved the issue by updating the information in the system. My boot drive appeared as visible but wasn't listed on the bootable drives. Switching from UEFI to CSM in the BIOS fixed the problem.
