Hey there, I just switched from an i7-12700K to an i9-14900K. To make the change, I updated my BIOS to match the new chip support. After that, I tried accessing BIOS but everything froze—screen went black and nothing happened. Pressing power turned off the system completely, then it booted into Windows without any problems. So far I’ve done: updated Windows and GeForce drivers, re-flashed BIOS, replaced CMOS battery, and performed a fresh Windows install (Windows crashed after the upgrade). Everything seems normal once I’m in Windows, but I still can’t get into BIOS. I’m considering another BIOS flash, but first I want to see if anyone else faced this issue or has suggestions.
I haven’t flashed the BIOS yet, just noticed it. ChatGPT assisted me lol
Seems similar enough. Appreciate the reinsurance support. Still puzzled about the timing despite the BIOS release being nearly four months ago.
