I faced a significant problem with an insider build of Windows 11 for several months where the game would stutter when I moved the mouse. To regain stability, I reinstalled the OS but left other drives unchanged. Both had games from Game Pass, Epic Games Store, and Steam functioning properly before the reinstall. The Steam and Epic services remained active, though none of the Xbox titles appeared in the app—requiring a separate reinstall. Now, no games install on the D or E drives that weren’t touched during setup. I suspect lingering files in WindowsApps folders are the cause. After attempting to delete them, I was denied access and received a permission error. I took control of the folders but still lacked authorization. The error code 0x80070002 appears unrelated to my reported issue online. Anyone have suggestions on resolving this?
