I installed the newest Nvidia graphics driver, but after updating, my second monitor became sluggish and my main monitor went blank. After a few minutes I restarted the PC; both monitors were blank, but it turned out to be because my second monitor (1080p) had a custom res. I wanted to align my wallpapers with my main 1440p monitor, so now both are running, though the main monitor only displays 1080p.
If DDU fails to resolve the problem, you can boot from a live USB (like Ubuntu) to check if your 1440p monitor is detected correctly. If not, it may indicate a hardware issue such as a faulty cable, monitor, or GPU. To fix this, consider reverting to the previous Nvidia driver and reinstall it using DDU. Good luck!
I removed all the graphics drivers and replaced them with another one. It functions at 1440p but only runs at 120Hz instead of the usual 165Hz.

It seems we're making progress. Since the issue appears linked to a faulty Nvidia driver, check that your GPU isn't restricted to 120 Hz. You might need to test progressively older drivers until you locate one that supports higher refresh rates like 1440p and 165 Hz.
Monitors may also include .inf files, also known as drivers. This isn't because they don't have DLLs or CABs—they're simply informational files for the display. Visit the manufacturer's website to see if they provide any updates.
