Lately after the spring update I noticed a screen clipping issue. It would be smooth at first but then freeze and return to the exact spot I aimed with the mouse. This happened on both my laptop and desktop. Reinstalling drivers didn’t help, so the only solution was turning off the origin overlay, which completely resolved the problem.
They do capture faraway items, don't they? If that's true, it's built into the game itself. I believe attempting a fix could hurt performance.
The entire screen locks unexpectedly. It seems to occur only when you sit on something small, like a bird, but not during piloting a vehicle. Once the overlay is adjusted, it stops completely. This strange behavior hadn't happened before the spring update—it felt like a fixed interval, roughly every 30 seconds.
the only reason i notice is to talk with friends (which is quite pointless in the game)
I didn't attempt to disable the origin overlay. That resolved the issue for me.
I'll give it a shot. But I usually have MSi Afterburner plus Fraps running, which means most overlays from Origin or Steam don't work. Now I'm facing another issue in all games. It looks like something might be broken and every game runs at double speed. Could be related to my G-sync settings. Cleaning the drivers with DDU and then reinstalling the newest beta driver from Nvidia might help.
Fraps offers enhanced monitoring and OSD features compared to Afterburner.
