I have a B450 motherboard with a Ryzen 2700 and decided to upgrade to the 5700x3D. After installation, I restarted it and noticed the CPU and DRAM flashes are now active. I’m unsure what went wrong and considered trying a new CPU if that might help.
It seems the BIOS update didn't work and may have damaged your MoBo. Because I don't know the exact make and model of your device, I can't check its specifications or suggest solutions that might help. It's similar to guessing if you have a Z170 model—without more details, it's hard to offer specific advice. Are you trying it out now or just considering it?
I haven't tested placing it in a small amount of concern it might damage the CPU. I have a B450 gigabyte Aorus Elite that doesn't have QFFlash or dual BIOS, according to what I know.
Also noticed the absence of those redundancy options. In this situation, the only improvement would be a new MoBo. It's better to choose something with Q-Flash Plus or even dual-BIOS for backup.

Before buying something new, try clear CMOS and see if that brings it back to life.
Edit: I think there's a bios reset button on your mobo, however I'd advise doing it via the clrtc jumper.
I thought I had placed the order for the B550 already, but it's nice that I don't need to purchase a new motherboard for the new CPU.
