I'm switching from an AMD system to an Intel i5 13600K and need a B760 board that's affordable. I was thinking about the Mag B760 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4 from Gigabyte, a gaming ROG STRIX B760-A with Wi-Fi, DDR4. I currently have an MSI B450 board.

Consider MSI Pro Z690-A WIFI for superior performance. It offers great value and includes BIOS flashback functionality. Just create a FAT32 formatted USB drive with the newest BIOS to update without needing the CPU. Numerous tutorials are available. Costs align closely, and it's a Z-series board.

I don’t feel confident about the latest BIOS change and it could cause issues, so please skip the update. I won’t be increasing the clock speed.

Consider this option, shifting funds to a 2x16GB DDR5 6000 setup. The motherboard won't boost performance much (assuming decent quality), but the RAM will make a difference.

Budget 600 euros available. Need thermal paste and Arctic Freezer LGA 1700 kit compatible with Intel i5 13600K. Estimated cost for paste and kit around 350 euros, leaving 250 euros. Looking for a DDR5 board that fits the 250 euros budget.

I could try that board and this RAM Kingston DDR5 FURY Beast 2x8GB 5200, but that would mean spending the full budget or sticking with a DDR4 board at my current 3200 MHz. The DDR5 is around 40 CL and I already have a DDR4 with 16 CL, so the upgrade isn’t worth it unless I really need the higher speed.

If budget is tight, skip DDR5 5200. Voltage matters more than frequency for DDR5. It offers slightly better performance for the 13th gen, but the difference is minimal. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Fd8fZw CPU: Intel Core i5-13600KF 3.5 GHz 14-Core Processor ($308.69 @ Amazon) Motherboard: Gigabyte B760M AORUS ELITE AX Micro ATX LGA1700 ($179.99 @ Newegg) RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 ($144.99 @ Newegg) Combined: $633.6 https://pcpartpicker.com/list/v2Qpk9 CPU: Intel Core i5-13600KF 3.5 GHz 14-Core ($308.69 @ Amazon) Motherboard: MSI PRO B760M-A WIFI DDR4 Micro ATX LGA1700 ($169.99 @ Newegg) RAM: TEAMGROUP T-Force Dark Za 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 ($44.99 @ Newegg) Overall: $523.67

That's great, but I can also accept these prices including 21% taxes and higher rates in the Netherlands.

Yes, you could use a Cl40 with DDR5 memory.
