After installing W8.1, you should clear the previous drivers from your old motherboard. Check if the C: drive still holds the old W8 files and remove them carefully if needed.

To remove W8 files, click right-click on your drive, select Disk Cleanup, and choose the 'Clean system files' option. This will delete the W8 files. Be aware that deleting them permanently means you can't restore them later.

Some files were removed from the partitions you selected for deletion. It’s likely your C:\ drive used an SSD. Did you delete or format the C:\ partition during the Windows installation process? Or could you walk us through the steps of performing a fresh installation?

Just wrapped up the task. Not yet, I'm just preparing to avoid mistakes.

In this scenario, there’s no cause for concern regarding drivers. They’ll be removed during the new installation alongside the previous Windows files and applications. That’s why it’s referred to as a “fresh install.”
