Details: Mobo model is Asus TUF B660M Plus with WiFi and DDR4 SSD. This is my initial post here. Prior to upgrading to a 13th Gen CPU, I updated the BIOS on my Mobo to version 2014 (latest available as of 30/10/2022) and confirmed all devices appeared in the BIOS, including the SSD, before replacing the 12th Gen CPU. After installing the new 13th Gen CPU, the SSD disappeared and I followed these troubleshooting steps: enabled compatibility mode, activated legacy mode for PCIe drives, re-downloaded the BIOS from Asus and reflashed the Mobo, unseated and reinserted the M.2 SSD, disabled and reactivated various CSM settings, and reset all BIOS configurations to defaults. Despite these efforts, I still can't locate the SSD to boot or install a fresh Windows system. The CPU functions normally as verified on a friend's identical model with the same BIOS revision. Unfortunately, I no longer have access to the 12th Gen CPU since it was given to my friend. Thank you for your assistance.

Thank you for the assistance. After reviewing the user manual, the M2.1 port is compatible only with the 12th generation models on B660 boards from ASUS following an SSD upgrade to the M2.2 slot.
