I'm facing a bothersome problem with my Windows machines—whether it's a PC or a laptop, deleting files leaves them lingering, and the only solution is refreshing the window. When I search online, it looks like this issue has been around since Windows Vista, and there are some fixes, but none seem to work for me. After reinstalling the OS a few times, it works initially but then starts acting strange again once programs load. I checked with a forum link you shared, which explained the problem, but all the suggested workarounds haven't helped. I'm hoping someone on this community can offer a solution.

Have you attempted a restart? It occurs with me; it disappears after the reboot and returns after some time.

He also attempted registry changes, but it's not the same as the PC or my laptop being completely idle. I power them down each day. Appreciate the quick response!
