Hey everyone, I recently purchased a Sennheiser HD598 and a Creative SoundBlaster Z soundcard. While listening to music in CS Go, I can barely hear footsteps, but the gun sounds are really intense and hurt my ears. I even feel like it’s at a volume that could damage my hearing. I really need some advice or help.

Did you experiment with the audio configurations?

I understand your frustration. It sounds like you're having trouble with the bass level and it's affecting your ears.

I've been experimenting with volume 0.1 since I began adding it to the console

Try adjusting the volume using loudness equalization and reduce it slightly. I'm playing at 20-24% on my Xonar U7, which makes quieter sounds more noticeable.

Your system is set to 18% brightness, while the game runs at 0.5 volume. It sounds too loud—consider adjusting both settings.

It doesn’t seem logical at all. Maybe adjusting the motherboard’s software could help if it includes built-in audio processing.
