After installing Windows 10 on your USB drive, the system becomes damaged.
After saving the changes and re-downloading Windows 10, it disappears to zero size. Now I can't use my USB drive for Windows 10. Initially, it worked when installed on an HDD, but I couldn't install the latest updates after trying a fix. The process failed, so I had to reinstall it. After that, I tried SFC /scannow, but it only detected the corruption without fixing it. I've tried several other solutions, but none succeeded. I suspect the USB might be old—about 5 to 6 years—and a new USB with Windows 10 would be better.
Are you missing the chance to restore or install from cloud? You can access this via advanced settings—hold SHIFT while clicking restart. If SFC fails to resolve problems with a failing HDD, consider using CrystalDiskInfo or tools like HD Sentinel for assistance.
I was occupied for a while, yet I attempted that but only caused corruption on my Windows, which blocked Internet Explorer, leaving me without internet (restarting PC/WiFi). I tried Restore, which I downloaded and placed on a USB drive to run it on the PC; it detected several damaged files. I’m unsure what caused the issue. Could the issue lie with the motherboard or hard drive? (The hard drive appears fully functional.)
