I recently switched from a Ryzen 7 5800x to a Ryzen 9 5900x and observed a drop in FPS. I have an ASUS TUF X570 PLUS WIFI motherboard with BIOS 4204, 3080 Founders Edition Ryzen 9 5900x, 32GB RAM, 2TB NVMe SSD and HDD, 850W Corsair Gold power supply. In Valorant, I used to see 350-500 FPS, now it's 180-350. My CPU temps reach 60-70°C during gameplay, while my GPU stays around 60°C. I’m not sure if the temperatures are normal. Could anyone help?

I believe the 5800X performs better, while the 5900X offers more cores but runs at a lower frequency. The side grading seems to trade off a few frames per second for additional threads that weren't essential... (just a guess)

The 5800X runs games better due to its single chiplet design compared to the 5900X’s dual chiplets, though some crosstalk between them might create a minor slowdown. Still, the performance gap shouldn’t be huge—expect similar results. After resetting CMOS, try turning on XMP again.
