It’s fine, you don’t need to destroy the components. That sounds unusual, but if you understand how it works and can reset your BIOS, that could work. If the board is new enough, I’d just return it for warranty. Have you checked whether the CPU functions properly in the board?
I haven’t tested my friend’s CPU on my board yet, so I might have to file a warranty claim for my motherboard if I can’t. Otherwise, I’ll go ahead and purchase a new one. It could be the BIOS got corrupted or shut down while enabling those features. Edited January 29, 2025 by Sanokatana
