Mobo: Asrock B450M Steel Legend AMD fTPM is active with CSM turned off. Secure boot is enabled, but Windows 11 requires it for some games like Valorant. When trying to enable secure boot, it keeps looping back to BIOS. I reset the BIOS by removing the CMOS battery and letting it sit for five minutes, and also tried plugging and unplugging the PC to see if that helps. What should I try next?

In Windows, launch MSconfig, navigate to Boot, select Safe boot, apply changes, restart, adjust the BIOS settings, enter Safe Mode, access MSConfig again, delete Safe Boot option, then restart to return to normal Windows.

I started by checking msconfig, then moved to the Boot section. Toggled Minimal settings, applied changes, and rebooted. Entered BIOS mode and enabled Secure Boot. Saved the configuration, but the system still restarts back to BIOS.

Not really. The latest Bios updates are available, but I haven’t updated yet because of the USB requirement I don’t have. I could attempt it, though it would take until tomorrow to test. Some suggested reinstalling Windows 11 with specific BIOS settings—enabling TPM 2.0, disabling CSM, and turning on Secure Boot before booting from a USB. I haven’t tried that yet since I’m out of a USB again. It would take me tomorrow to check. What do you think? Thanks for the ongoing support—it means a lot.

Which BIOS version are you using? (Verify with CPU-Z.) Updating the latest BIOS is recommended, regardless of your current configuration—BIOS updates often fix problems and enhance performance and driver support. While a Windows install with correct settings works well, updating the BIOS first is advisable.

I'm running version 4.60 now. It's been a year since I last used this computer after the monitor stopped working. After restarting it, I'm facing many problems. If I can get a USB drive, I'll try updating to version 10.30. If that fails, I might reinstall Windows using a USB drive again.
