After BIOS update, system fails to operate at expected performance levels.
I bought a 7800X3D and an Asus B650A WiFi yesterday using a Gskill Flare X5 DDR5 6000 CL30 kit. Everything functioned normally until today when I updated the BIOS. Now the system won’t boot with the memory set to 6000mhz in the BIOS; it only boots with auto RAM speed. I also tried reverting to an older BIOS version, but the problem continues. My RAM is installed in sticks A2 and B2 as expected. Anyone know why it worked fine at 6000mhz before but not now?
Do you only change the memory speed to DDR5-6000, or do you also activate DOCP, A-XMP, and EXPO?
It seems there might be some confusion here. I believe this issue could also relate to graphics cards. I think JayZ2Cents covered a similar topic in a video. Updating your BIOS might also involve changing the firmware of your RAM, which can sometimes cause problems if the updates aren't compatible. This could be the reason behind what you're experiencing.
