After BIOS flash, system starts having boot problems.
Hello, I'm experiencing some problems when posting after updating my BIOS from version 1.20 to the latest 2.70 on an ASRock Z270 Extreme4. I chose this upgrade because newer releases improved memory stability, which is important for me. Once the flash completed, the system restarted normally but kept restarting repeatedly without posting or showing any images on the screen. There were no beeps, and it seems to be working fine after a few restarts. I've seen similar issues with other motherboards, but this happened after flashing rather than a failure. I think the problem might be related to the flashing process or compatibility with this specific revision. I'm considering re-flashing to an older version, but I wanted a second opinion before doing so. Thanks in advance. Edit: I didn't realize it would also stop working if I kept the USB stick connected during the flash in the PC. Maybe that's normal for this board?
Don't shut it down yet, just because you're worried about it happening again. Need some tips?
