Hello, forum members. A few weeks back I had to replace the CPU fan on a relative's machine after it failed due to a power surge. everything else seemed normal. now, the computer randomly crashes even when opening simple tasks like multiple Chrome tabs or watching videos. the machine is an Acer TC-885 ES14, and I didn’t initially plan for a fresh Windows install because it uses proprietary graphics drivers. I’m trying to figure out possible reasons, suspecting the power supply might not handle the new fan well, but getting a replacement PSU that doesn’t work seems like a poor choice.

It seems the issue goes beyond just the fan being affected. Considering how minimal a fan is to a computer, significant damage would likely require more than just the fan itself. I suspect there might be a bigger problem that isn’t immediately clear from what we see here.

I think there might be an issue, though the system is working okay. I tested some performance tests, looked at temperatures, and the main problem seems to be the SSD acting poorly—probably because it's nearly full.

It seems like the issue might stem from insufficient room for the operating system to function properly.

It presently offers 36 out of 120 gigabytes for free. It would be nice if this were simpler.
