I've played around 12 hours of The Witcher 2 and found it really engaging. But once I reached Vergen, I quickly became bored and unsure why. I'm thinking about moving to The Witcher 3, but I worry missing out if I don't complete the first game. At the same time, I don't want to push myself through something that no longer excites me. Any suggestions?
@ Shaan5 Pause for a moment—watch TV or a movie, or try another game. Then return to TW2 and check if it makes a difference.
Yea, this is good avice. Sometimes you get so hyped that you will actualy start to lose interrest. Like if you are really waiting for someone to cooc your favourite food and you can smell it and imagine taste for hours then when suddenly they server you the food you already had enough of it from your imagination.
I played The Witcher for two hours and quickly grew tired of the controls and the overall experience. Completing The Witcher 2 wouldn’t interest me much. The only memory that stuck was finding Phillipa in TW2. I’m not going to spoil anything—I’ve already finished the main story in about 45 hours, mostly chasing side quests while pursuing the main plot. Overall, it’s a solid game. The only issues are those unexpected crashes and some lost loot due to them.
It would have been better to choose Roche. His storyline is significantly more entertaining in my view.
I considered Witcher 2 dull. The story and visuals were great, but the gameplay felt weak. After the second act I quickly memorized everything and switched to Witcher 3. To date I’ve spent 47 hours in the game and it’s only been a week. In just seven days two full days went by playing alone, and I’d be back if I didn’t have to eat.
Thanks for the tips everyone, I’m planning to step away from gaming for a while and return later. I recently set up my new PC and have been playing quite a bit lately, which might have worn me out. Appreciate all the advice!
