Hey there! I'm looking for a budget-friendly Wi-Fi and Bluetooth combo card that uses PCIe 1x only, without needing any extra cables besides the antennas. The ones I found on Amazon usually came with additional connections like USB or SATA, which isn't ideal since I don't have those available. I need something that can power itself and send data purely through the PCIe slot. Thanks a lot!

On laptops Bluetooth cards are likely connected via PCIe, but desktops might use different interfaces. This doesn't mean PCIe isn't possible for desktops—it just depends on the setup.

I thought ordering a USB 2.0 splitter cable would be enough, since there are already plenty of cables around my PC and it probably won’t make much of a difference.

Be aware of connections needing a direct USB header input as well.

It seems a splitter might work, but both USB 2 ports are out of options.

In laptops the cards come in mini-PCIe or M.2 forms, each featuring USB ports next to the PCIe links.
