Consider a dependable network switch and check its features. The link you shared mentions a model from MikroTik, but there aren’t many reviews available online.

We require additional details to recommend a change. Please specify the desired speed (e.g., 1G, 10G, 40G), the number of ports needed, whether you require RJ45 or SFP/SFP+, and if it should be managed or unmanaged. Budget considerations are also helpful.

Requesting 10G speed with 7 ports, totaling 5Gbps or under, including 5 ports at 1Gbps and 2 ports at 10Gbps. Connector type is flexible.

Purchased the switch for my home three days ago, but it feels quite early for a thorough evaluation yet. It appears stable so far. Feel free to ask if you have any particular concerns.

Reviewing the details on that page shows the device can run on its own DC supply or through passive PoE. No PoE is referenced for the Ethernet connections.

I can help you connect the network switch to the product you mentioned and set it up with a 10 GbE link featuring four ports. Let me know if you need guidance on the configuration steps!

The setup becomes more challenging when aiming for 2.5Gbit and 5Gbit ports, as costs increase significantly. The required distance also plays a role; for short ranges you can use SFP+ ports with direct cables up to about 5 meters, but longer distances will need additional adapters for fiber or copper. I chose the Netgear MS510TXPP 8-Port Multi-Gigabit Smart Managed Pro Switch with PoE+, offering eight 10G ports and various speeds. Although it’s more expensive, it provides flexibility with flow control enabled for optimal performance across mixed speeds.

The 10 GbE should be roughly 80 feet long. I understand everything, and I’d like to set up a server using a 10 GbE port. I plan to connect several computers and Raspberry Pi devices, with my PC linked to the same port so all devices can access full gigabit speeds simultaneously or have a single connection to the server.
