Searching for the most affordable motherboard featuring an M.2 port, ideally with four RAM slots and a safe build. I’m considering a mid-tower ATX case and want something that supports more features without overheating. After checking PCPartPicker, I found an ASRock B460M-HDV Micro ATX LGA1200 board for about $75, but I’m curious if there are cheaper options with similar ratings, especially since it only has two RAM slots. If I need four slots, a model like the ASRock B460M Steel Legend comes around $100. I’m hoping to stay within a total budget of roughly $200 for CPU and board.

Even an h410 can handle the i5-10400 smoothly at normal speeds, usually maintaining around 4ghz across all cores throughout the day. I purchased this for my i3-10100 and it offers a solid range of features. The product page links here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088ZVZ8Q4/ref...RN42P2E5MA. It supports M.2 NVMe drives and 7-phase VRM, running at 4.1ghz all day with good airflow. There are only two RAM slots, but it’s still a more affordable option.

It seems the price is $126, but it might be incorrect or outdated. Prices could have shifted recently. A similar model was found on eBay for about $75, matching the B460M price.

I understand now there are several sellers available. The price listed on Amazon might be influenced by shipping costs. Appreciate the tip, the additional $10 discount is quite appealing.

The H410 board works well with the 10400 processor. Avoid purchasing more than 2666MHz RAM as the board won’t handle it.

I discovered 3000MHz RAM at a lower price than 2666MHz, so I decided to stick with that and let it operate at default speeds.
