Looking for affordable motherboards that fit your i5 6600K. Also, need suggestions for a good power supply that matches your current setup. Your specs are solid—consider budget options like the MSI MAG B550 or ASUS PRIME B550. For the PSU, check out the Antec BigCo 650 or Corsair Vengeance LPX 650 for reliable performance.

Discuss the financial plan for the board and the PSU separately.

Usually I wasn’t as involved in the tech scene as before I started working on it. I didn’t even notice they swapped the 1060 for the 1660 by accident. I’m aiming for decent speed without sacrificing hardware quality. I don’t want the MBO to slow things down. Moving abroad forced me to pay more for shipping than the PC itself cost. Because of that, I had to discard parts I couldn’t bring on the flight, leaving me with most but not all of my equipment.

You're asking about the price range for the board, likely used, and also inquiring about your budget.

You're looking at a budget of $200 for an MBO, possibly adding another $50. What kind of motherboard would suit your DDR4 Corsair Dominator Platinum RAM? Are you aiming for a 3200MHz or 4000MHz module? I recall adjusting it in the BIOS to a middle setting. Also, you're using SATA drives—what's your overall setup like?

you're wondering about the budget for a board and PSU. I think you might have meant to ask that. Based on what you said, they should all work similarly with Sky Lake. It's fine to go for a used Z170/270 with a decent heatsink—it won't be worth spending 200 dollars on a board for that setup. If you're not planning to overclock, just the cheapest Z170/270 board with a heatsink will suffice. Updated August 11, 2020 by TofuHaroto

I can stay within a budget of 200 dollars, and if necessary I’m open to adding another 50 dollars.
