Affordable mini device for a network security system
You're looking for a budget-friendly, compact device with dual ports that fits between your modem and router. Within a $50 budget, consider a basic pfSense setup using a small form-factor or mini PC. Check local retailers or online marketplaces for affordable options that meet those specs.
You're considering a simpler solution. The ACEPC could be excessive for your needs. An inline firewall doesn't require heavy compute power.
Pie won't fit since I require dual ports. Probably I can locate an older model or skip the plan altogether.
NVM, there is a supported version. I am going to get a 2 gb pi and a usb to Ethernet port. The specs for pfsense are min 512 mb ram, and a slow af processor. Thanks for your help!
