It really comes down to the required speed. At that price point, around $50, the top options are usually Raspberry Pi models or comparable devices. I’d likely look through the second-hand market locally since fresh units aren’t available.

You're considering a simpler solution. The ACEPC could be excessive for your needs. An inline firewall doesn't require heavy compute power.

The latest Raspberry Pi 4B with increased RAM could be a good fit. However, even with 4GB of memory, it’s still around $80, which I recently purchased.

Pie won't fit since I require dual ports. Probably I can locate an older model or skip the plan altogether.

I was just looking into that. That was a good thought, though I discovered PFSense doesn't work with ARM. Sorry about that.

NVM, there is a supported version. I am going to get a 2 gb pi and a usb to Ethernet port. The specs for pfsense are min 512 mb ram, and a slow af processor. Thanks for your help!
