The only alternative I have in mind if you really don’t want wires is using wireless repeaters. This might slow things down based on the number you’re using, the signal quality, and how many hops the signal takes to reach the router. From what I understand, those are your main choices. Or consider adding one powerful AP—like the ones from Ubiquiti—and placing it centrally for better coverage.

They could work well for my home setup but you might lose bandwidth based on hop distance limits of the equipment and the maximum capacity of the repeaters. I use Xfi Pods from work and they perform adequately for most applications. The weakest link I tested was around 75 to 78 Mbps down at the lowest speed.

Yes, you can still perform external runs. Since there isn’t enough crawl space, that’s the only choice I have.
