Affordable LGA 1700 Mobo featuring integrated Thunderbolt functionality
Hello everyone, I'm searching for an LGA1700 motherboard with built-in TB4 support. My QNAP NAS uses TB4 for fast transfers, but I can't find options under 300 euros that have full TB4 integration. Stability is important, as I've faced many problems before with the TB4 setup in QNAP firmware. The only ASUS model I saw on Amazon (ASUS PRIME H770-PLUS) claims TB4 support but only via a header, and there are no external connectors listed. Any suggestions on what to consider?
Amazon.com: ASUS ThunderboltEX 4 Card, PCI Express, 2 x Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C), 2 x Mini DisplayPort in, TBT Header, USB 2.0 Header – Electronics ThunderboltEX_4_Card_Compatible_ModelList add B660H67020220111.pdf (asus.com). It could be more cost-effective to purchase a higher-quality board that includes it built-in. If you don’t need to assemble the system yourself with a socketed CPU, consider a mini PC or NUC that already has integrated TB4.
The B650E Taichi features a single USB4 Type-C port, making it the most affordable option. The X670E Creator offers two USB4 ports, while the Z790 Creator supports two Thunderbolt 4 connections.
I don't understand why these in Italy are priced over 500 euros, same as an i9. I'm considering the links you shared.
