Twelve years ago, I last possessed a gaming computer. Though I previously assembled them, now I feel utterly inexperienced, like an elderly person struggling to navigate the online world... My goal is to create two PCs for my partner and me, with a budget of $700 to $800 each. Any recommendations for a solid build within that price point would be incredibly helpful. I’ll keep searching on Google, but I wanted to post this request to the wider community. Thank you!

Assemble your own system. Pre-configured PCs have become largely deceptive these days. If you believe your age prevents you from constructing computers, that’s incorrect—anyone can do it. A detailed instruction manual included with the motherboard will generally guide you through the entire process, and supplemental assistance is available via YouTube tutorials. I could provide a list of components within your price range if you allow me a couple of days?

Certainly! I'm happy to postpone things by one or two days and will keep searching. I planned to buy my computer case – a high-rise model – tomorrow...do you believe a full-sized tower is excessive? I’m debating whether to invest in a long-term solution or stick with a mid-tower for the time being.

AMD Ryzen 1600X with the A-series chipset
ASRock B450M Pro4 motherboard
Nvidia GTX 1660 Super graphics card
G.Skill Ripjaws V 2x8GB at 3200MHz RAM
Corsair CX550 power supply
Crucial MX500 SSD
The computer case is your choice; a mid-tower would be recommended, particularly in the United States, depending on your financial constraints.

An upper-level case would be suitable. I personally suggest the Cooler Master H500 series; I own one and they’re excellent, offering ample room for mid-sized builds and featuring well-organized cable routing. I'll compile the recommendations immediately.

Ok, Steiney. I have some good news and i have some bad news. The good news is the list is done, the bad news is I was forced to go over your budget a little. I'm sorry but staying below 400$ when building a PC that actually can be used for gaming is an impossible task. I put together a pretty decent pc list while fighting with teeth and claws to stay inside your budget, and I know going over your budget is a bummer, but that is basically inevitable, especially for a budget pc like yours, and I think you'll find that in the end, it'll be worth it. I went over my build budget last year with a few hundred bucks, and I'm happy today I did.

Each item is priced at $700 to $800, not encompassing both.

Excuse me, my mistake. Alright, could you allow me ten minutes and I’ll provide an updated list. Thanks for clarifying that issue.

Hello again, this is me.

I’ve made adjustments to your selection and successfully kept the total cost under $800. This collection offers excellent value, and I hope you find it appealing.
