Affordable custom water cooling options for a duel xeon build
Your gaming dual xeon build is experiencing overheating problems. Someone should look up compatible parts for a custom liquid cooling solution. You're okay with the noise level as long as it's affordable, and you're looking for a 120mm radiator that fits an LGA 771 socket. Also, a 240mm radiator is acceptable.
Dual Xeon with one 120mm rad isn't sufficient. Consider the 240mm option.
The system still needs a suitable CPU and proper TDP. The dual X5450 should work, but you might need more than 120W per component depending on cooling.
What cooling solutions are currently available for CPUs? If they're overheating, it could indicate insufficient airflow for effective cooling. The same applies to watercooling setups if airflow is lacking. I'm using the Coolermaster Masterbox 5 with two fans from the included kit and two Corsair AF120 units—three front intakes and one back exhaust. I also have two full copper heatsinks paired with matching fans, designed for an LGA 771 processor. I found a link to compatible heatsinks here: https://www.amazon.com/Intel-Socket-LGA7...B001TBKML6
I'm seeing temperatures rise up to 62 C.
This weekend I'm going to 3d print some solid backplates (using nuts to secure them) and reapply thermal paste, trying to improve heat sink placement. I don't think they're making good contact.
62C performs adequately when subjected to moderate to heavy loads for most processors.
