AMD FX-6300 Six Core CPU (3.50GHz/8MB CACHE/AM3+)
Gigabyte 970A-DS3P AM3+ (ATX, DDR3, USB 3.0, 6Gb/s)
8GB KINGSTON DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz (2 x 4GB)
2GB AMD RADEON™ R9 270X - DVI, HDMI, DP - DX® 11, Eyefinity 4
1TB WD CAVIAR BLACK WD1003FZEX, SATA 6Gb/s, 64MB CACHE
CORSAIR 450W VS SERIES™ VS-450 POWER SUPPLY
PC SPECIALIST ALPHA TRION 7622B BLACK CASE
Only stock cooling available; I’m aware the motherboard might need upgrading and would need to know what PSU would be required.
Purchased in December 2014. Estimated upgrade costs in GBP for components? What performance gains could be expected for titles like GTA V, The Witcher 3, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Dishonoured 2, Fallout 4, Metal Gear Solid V, Hitman, Watch Dogs 2?
I’m trying to decide if it’s worth the investment or selling for a better build with an Intel CPU. I’m okay with lower framerates (45-60fps) if it means reducing graphics settings. Playing in Full HD.

I found a quick search and I think the mobo can handle overclocking.
Not sure about the PSU, but I came across this video on another forum that might help.

I’m hoping it’ll be useful and I’ll get a new cooler anyway.
