Hello,
I want to upgrade my old i5-3470 which runs at 3.2/3.6 GHz. It struggles with Battlefield 5, especially in conquest mode. The PC will mostly be for gaming and coding, not for video rendering or streaming.
My graphics card is a GTX 1050 TI with 4GB of RAM, and I plan to keep it for another year before moving on.
I think the CPU should be overclocked to extend its life.
After researching various CPUs and checking benchmarks, I believe this setup makes sense:
i7 8700k for 400€
ASRock Z370 Pro4 for 100€
16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3000 for 115€
Should I be spending too much for the performance increase? I prefer Intel over AMD, so I’ll accept any cost difference.
