I'm looking to purchase a new PC mainly for gaming, but also for working with Unreal Engine 5 and modding games. Keep in mind I'm not an expert, but after some research I found the following details:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D (4.2 GHz / 5.0 GHz) - 450€
Cooler: Corsair iCUE H170i ELITE CAPELLIX XT (Noir) - 310€
Motherboard: Gigabyte B650M AORUS ELITE AX - 280€
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB Series 32 Go (2x 16 Go) DDR5 6000 MHz CL30 - 169€
GPU: SUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER OC Edition 16 GB - 1350€
Storage: Western Digital SSD WD Black SN850X 2 To (possibly two units) - 200€
Case: be quiet! Shadow Base 800 FX - Noir - 220€
Power supply: Corsair RMx Series (2021) RM850x 80PLUS Gold - 210€
Total cost would be around 3189€, plus an extra 260€ if I cover the seller's costs.
I plan to use it on a 21:9 screen (3440x1440). Since I don’t want excessive noise, I prioritized thermal and sound quality over aesthetics.
I’m not sure if there’s any clear incompatibility among these parts. Would it be wise to change anything or look for more cost-effective options? Should I consider an i7 processor instead of the Ryzen 7?
Thanks!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! You should follow the stylization of this thread; *How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice* How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice First off, respect where respect is due - this is an adaptation of the Animal's *How To Ask For New Build Advice* Sticky. I created this because there's a lot of posts nowadays asking for upgrade advice both on here and on the CPU forums, and I feel... forums. with info which'll help us maximize our suggestions for you/your build. A PCPartPicker link would help and ofc your location, preferred site for purchase and your maximum budget. (Noir) I'm assuming you're located in France or Belgium. I don't want a noisy PC so I favored thermal / sound performance more than the look. You could look into air cooling, with Noctua coolers/fans in your case.

The build looks decent, though there are opportunities to save money on the CPU cooler and possibly elsewhere. We should determine which countries offer the best prices for you. Thanks in advance.

This optimized configuration uses comparable components except for the CPU cooler.

It looks good overall. The main suggestions would be to consider replacing the CPU cooler—310 Euros is quite a lot of money for one. If you're comfortable with air cooling, the Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 is a great option, especially given its price. A Radeon 7900 XTX is also worth considering if you prioritize performance over ray tracing, it's more affordable, offers more VRAM, and runs slightly faster in standard rasterization. The RTX 4080 Super remains a strong choice. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER Founder edition review (Page 30) This review examines the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER FE, also known as the Founder edition. With additional shader processors, the series should perform better. The positive update is that the price for the 4080 SUPER has decreased compared to the regular model. www.guru3d.com
