I’m preparing this adjustment to install a RTX 5070ti Asus Prime OC vertically above the lower fans in a NZXT H7 Flow (2024).
Here’s a brief sketch of how I envision the setup:
The GPU will sit atop the bottom 120mm fan using a 3d printed support (without the original fan).
Looking at the first image, I realize I’ll need a long riser cable to link the first PCIe slot on the motherboard with the GPU, while also keeping space clear in front of the motherboard.
I explored two possible solutions: the dashed red lines represent the riser cables.
For the light red cable coming out from behind the case, I’d need something like these, but I’m unsure if they’re suitable for this specific layout on a known brand.
Alternatively, the other riser option stays inside the case, which should be more reliable.
I’m considering a common riser cable for the internal path, though it must be very flexible to fit the bent design.
It should fit into the side opening of the case, go behind where it’s not visible most of its length, and exit below with the 90° slot for the GPU.
I’d really appreciate your advice on choosing the right riser cable—do you think one of these designs is better? Also, could you suggest a trustworthy PCIe 5.0 riser cable?
The internal option likely needs a longer cable, perhaps around 40 or 50 cm.
Will the riser cable length affect the GPU’s performance?

Most problems with riser cables relate to signaling or power issues, often caused by bends in wires that aren't suited for them. Which of the two diagrams you created is more suitable? I would generally steer clear of riser cables unless they are the shortest and tailored for specific situations, such as those seen in Hyte or Lian-Li setups—cables crafted with care for quality and performance. One example:

It’s a short option for your scenario, but the GPU placement might also be impractical.
Lengthy riser cables can lead to latency and may even stop the system from starting up.

This was a method to mount the GPU vertically, preventing sagging and improving appearance. Additionally, I needed room ahead of the motherboard and between PCIe slots for future PCI cards, but I found it wasn't feasible. The discussion can be ended.
