Advice on AMD Gaming Builds
Hello everyone,
I’m preparing to set up a custom desktop specifically for gaming, ranging from Solitaire to high and maximum graphics configurations. I’m currently exploring Micro Center because it’s conveniently located nearby, and several friends have had positive impressions. On the other hand, I’ve encountered issues with prebuilt units being delivered without proper preparation. Since I recently upgraded my PC, I might have overlooked a few details—so this is why I’m reaching out.
I’m aiming to stay under a budget of less than $1,300 and haven’t decided on overclocking just yet, so liquid cooling isn’t on the agenda. However, having it available would be beneficial. I own an AMD CPU cooler from my previous machine (Corp AC4400BT Beta 400ST), but its AM3/AM3+ architecture makes me question whether it will work with the newer motherboard I’m considering.
Here’s what I’m planning:

Overall cost comes to approximately $1,302.
Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
I finished the build by reusing my previous case and choosing a SeaSonic FOCUS GX-850 ATX 3.0 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX power supply. Overall, I'm satisfied with this setup and it has been running smoothly so far. Thank you once more for your help!
Terrible. But it's difficult to compare things when we can't see the per component prices, which makes it hard to offer something better. I mean, it's not that bad at all, but you've missed out on opportunities where you should have invested. Overall, it's honestly not great. There are some REALLY terrible components inside, especially the PSU, case, and memory.
Thank you, the prices are updated. They do offer Corsair PSUs that I've used before without any issues. The main thing I need is the cost.
There are significantly improved components compared to the previous version, though sources differ. This build offers superior quality and selection, costing only a bit more than the half of what was listed before. Overall, it’s much better in every aspect while remaining quite similar in look and component choices. It truly stands out as a much better option.

Though I have two questions:
1) Concerning the PSU, wouldn't Bronze certified PSU work well enough? Also 850 W seems like overkill when looking at the parts builder estimated wattage use. More doesn't hurt of course esp if one were to oc.
2) Don't suppose you have a MB alternative that was wifi built in? makes no difference to me whether its 5 or 6.

"Bronze" refers only to "efficiency". It has absolutely nothing to do with quality. Please review these two articles to clarify your confusion.

If you're will to bump the budget a little this will be the new AM5 with a cpu upgrade path to the end of AM5s life
