Hello all.
For more than fifteen years I've depended on this community for assistance with my builds, and I’d gladly share your feedback once again.
I’m now in my 40s, and I don’t have the patience—or the need—to dive deep into research to find the optimal system within a budget as before. However, recent professional advancements have given me some well-deserved financial flexibility, so I’m about to make a significant change. I’m comfortable with this being my middle-age adjustment.

My current setup looks like this:
- ATX Asus Prime X570-P
- Ryzen 7 3800X + Cooler Master Hyper 212
- Asus ROG RTX 2070 Super 8GB OC
- Crucial Ballistix Sport LT Red 2x8GB DDR4
- Nox Urano VX 650W
- SSD M.2 2280 Corsair Force MP600 1Tb
- SSD M.2 2280 Western Digital Black SN850 1Tb
All connected to an ATX Sharkoon Night Shark RGB case.

This configuration has served me well, handling everything I play and even newer titles like KCD2 and Arc Raiders.
But since I want to treat myself and avoid spending too much time on research, I asked ChatGPT for suggestions around a 3000€ budget. Here’s what it suggested:

- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360
- GPU: ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5080 OC 16GB
- Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming X870-PLUS WiFi
- RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 32GB (2×16GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 EXPO
- SSD: Samsung 990 Pro 2TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 (x2)
- PSU: Seasonic Focus GX-850 ATX 3.1 80+ Gold
- Case: Fractal Design Meshify 2
- Sound Card: ASUS Xonar SE (optional)

By the way, what’s the reason behind the recent RAM prices?
Well, since I’m not fully confident in ChatGPT’s recommendations, I’d appreciate your thoughts on this build and any adjustments you think are necessary.

Thank you for your support, and have a great new year to everyone!

When individuals want to construct a new rig, we typically recommend following this manual to define their needs: *How to Request New Build or Upgrade Guidance* Requesting New Build or Upgrade Advice Initially, acknowledge the proper place for such inquiries - this adaptation comes from the Animal's *How To Ask For New Build Advice* Sticky. I developed it since many users are now seeking upgrade suggestions both here and on the CPU forums, and I believe... forums.

But as I mentioned, I wanted to treat myself and didn’t want to spend too much time researching, so I asked ChatGPT for my top choices within a 3000€ budget. Here’s what it suggested.

Are you completely against using any components from the current PC in the new setup? In particular, the two drives. Of course, you can purchase replacement drives, but the performance gain from them might be minimal. Instead, you could allocate that budget to other parts that would make a more significant difference in everyday use.

Thanks for the quick responses all around, and sorry for the missing details.
The budget I established at about 3000€ is adaptable, focusing mainly on the computer itself—no need for monitors or keyboard, etc.
My goal is to achieve the optimal build within that amount.
I omitted mentioning location or online shops because of currency conversion differences, though I know prices can vary and usually don’t make a big difference in this situation.
In practice, I’m using 3000€ as a guideline, but I’m open to reaching up to 3500€ or slightly more if it means obtaining a durable, high-quality system similar to the ones I previously owned.
What I truly need is 32GB of RAM, with any other components being what suits best.
I’m fine with transferring my SSDs from this machine, but since I plan to pass it on to my wife, I can store the operating system on the SSD here and keep the other one for the new PC, using it for the OS and cloud storage. However, I’d prefer a 2TB SSD for the new computer, especially for games, because they take up a lot of space now, and I don’t want to deal with reinstalling an old drive after switching systems.
@Lutfij
I’m still considering a B850 instead of a X870, as my knowledge of chipsets is limited—I’d prefer to hear if a B850 is sufficient.
Appreciate your time everyone!

I intentionally omitted location or online stores because of currency exchange issues, knowing prices might vary, but in most cases the differences wouldn't significantly affect this situation. Product and brand availability will vary depending on your region, and suggesting alternatives you can't access would be a waste of effort. The questionnaire my colleague and I have linked above has been developed over many years, and the findings from it are excellent.

I was planning to mention it after that sentence I wrote and forgot, sorry about that!
I'm in Portugal, and the store I usually use is "https://www.pcdiga.com/", but it doesn't have to be that one.
Unfortunately, the website doesn't offer an English version either.
Also, I'm okay with assembling a PC so it can either come from the same place or not, doesn't matter.
Thanks!
