Hi. I’m seeking guidance on buying a laptop for business purposes. Besides the standard MS Office (especially with heavy Outlook use) and Adobe Acrobat, the main tasks involve using multiple remote apps that connect to a graphics planning software and a database app on different PCs. There’s also frequent WhatsApp Web usage. The device should be lightweight, have better than average battery life, and include at least three USB ports.

The current model is an HP i5-10210U 1.6 GHz (10th Gen), 8 GB RAM, GeForce MX110 with 2GB GDDR5, running Windows 10 Home. I thought it would suffice, but it’s slowed down a lot; system tweaks only offer short-term fixes. Outlooks often freeze, and Webmail logs me out after each email. Notably, this issue doesn’t affect other users, even those with identical systems, though they don’t use remote access.

I’m becoming increasingly frustrated with my declining productivity.

The laptop should meet your requirements, it might be fixed with a bit of repair work.
But if you're looking for something different, what would be your budget?

I thought it would be sufficient, too.
I attempted some troubleshooting and made some adjustments, but only minor gains were seen.
My budget is set between $800 and $900.
(Short note: I've been feeling a bit unwell lately.)

Based on my observations without any hardware issues, when a machine experiences severe slowdowns, the RAM is typically the culprit. I’d suggest choosing 16GB for a professional setup. For a suitable system, a Lenovo Thinkpad E14 would be ideal.
