advice needed for first time pc builder.
You're starting this journey for the first time with a PC build! Here are some suggestions to help you get set up.
The reason for skipping was likely budget constraints. I recommend an 80+ gold PSU from a trusted brand such as Corsair or Be Quiet for better cooling. Noctua or Be Quiet are solid choices.
Opt for a fresh setup instead of purchasing expensive used components. Choose the right parts from PCPartPicker to save money.
I don’t have any functional components since I’m preparing a complete strategy first. I was looking for a mid-range option that would handle games smoothly at 1080p with 60fps.
Is there a setup with two 2080 Ti in SLI that I missed? Why does such a high PSU requirement exist for a system that only needs 250W? It could work with a solid 450W unit and still leave plenty of headroom... (though I’d probably go up to 550W since good options start around that). Keep in mind it might be worth it if prices aren’t too far off locally, which sometimes happens. I think it could save you some money by focusing on more affordable models instead.
Based on the discussions, it seems the AMD Ryzen 3 3100 is a more affordable and efficient choice. Your PSU recommendation is helpful—go with the 450W Corsair unit.
