I've been neglecting the computer's security lately because it's just a temporary fix until I get the parts for my new laptop. I found this question: What's a reliable, free way to protect it? I'm planning to download SpyBot and Malware Bytes for cleaning, but I need a method that works instantly.

If you're talking about the ad, have you tried an ad blocker? Not sure if there's an Opera add-on for any ad blockers worthwhile or not though...

I'd really prefer that option if it supported the driver (my scanner only functions on versions 95 and above).
