If you disagree with or don’t trust a Microsoft privacy policy, avoid using it. Windows 10 doesn’t access your Gmail, Yahoo, or any internal mail system to monitor you. All services, including this site, will follow local laws. This isn’t about Windows 10—similarly for OneDrive. If you don’t like it, just skip it! Yet you can still use Windows 10. That’s the main idea I’m trying to share. Generally, treat anything online with caution. If your data is private, keep it off the web. At least encrypt it (and avoid using Windows encryption—this only protects basic info for casual thieves, not serious threats needing millions to break). If you think I’m being paranoid, you’re right to question me. I’m simply trying to be clear. In short, if something is online, assume it’s public. Keep your personal details private unless you’re sure about the rules in your area. For Linux-based systems, don’t assume they’re safer just because they’re open source. Always verify the source and code yourself—no shortcuts. Trust matters, whether it’s open-source or proprietary software. If you’re curious about switching to Windows 10, consider the pros and cons carefully before making a decision.
