Drives are working properly; I managed to run chkdsk but couldn’t resolve issues with the operating system itself. This was possible using CMD along with my Windows installation disk.

I'm preparing to delete a Windows 7 installation file I obtained from an unreliable source. Since I can't guarantee its integrity, I'll just enter the key during setup. The disc might be faulty.

I’m good to go with a simple Windows 7 Ultimate setup. The key is installed, I removed the RAM from my old PC, transferred the drives, and ran memtest86 on all the sticks. Right now I’m using some no-name Hyundai 1866 memory.

If your system was previously activated on that machine, you can simply reinstall Windows 10 without having to purchase a license. You don’t have to go through the initial setup of Windows 7.
