Besides gaming, I’m seeking greater online privacy and more control over my system. I need stronger protection so I can stop unwanted intrusions. While I enjoy browsing the internet, I struggle with it and recently encountered a virus called Launchpage.org that made me reluctant to clean Windows. It feels like Windows 10 has hidden backdoors, letting others access my passwords and actions. That’s why I’m considering Linux Mint KDE 64 bit—it might be a safer choice for me.

According to what I understand, Ubuntu is quite beginner-friendly.

I checked it and will get the file through Torrent. Using Windows will be straightforward, and I plan to learn Linux for proper usage.

Right now everything is in italics thanks to this stupid virus. SpyHunter 4 has detected it and will be removed. I'm switching my OS to Linux on another HDD, then formatting the drive with a brand new Windows copy. I'll secure it completely, just for gaming purposes. All browsers will be deleted because you don't need them.

It seems Linux isn’t compatible with my setup. The only distro I almost got is Ubuntu, but it caused issues even after installation. On Windows 7, I’m stuck and can’t upgrade to version 10 because the installer crashes with a strange driver error at startup.

No distribution can be successfully burned to a disc or transferred via USB; the system either freezes or restarts repeatedly. The Windows 10 issue appears to be a delay.
