Alright, perhaps I worded it wrong. I meant it more as, if you're using it for recreational purposes, you shouldn't have to pay the same as people who are using it to make a living. But, since you can't really buy it cheaper than the full price, the only other option is pirating it. Besides, CS is discontinued, meaning they've made their money off it. Besides I've never specified whether I'm talking about Creative Suite or Creative Cloud. CS is discontinued, meaning they've made their money off it.

It doesn’t matter if it’s out of production or not, Adobe retains ownership of the product. The only legitimate option is purchasing a license with an active, unused copy. You might still discover older versions on platforms like Amazon, but they’ll probably warn you about upgrades. If you need just Photoshop and Illustrator, it’s around $10 per month. You could easily cover your monthly dining expenses by buying the software. For those serious enough to profit, even the full suite at $50 a month seems reasonable. I recall CS licenses used to cost significantly more than the current CC pricing of $600 a year. Plus, yearly updates let you stay current without extra purchases. Also, since I play Dota casually, shouldn’t I pay less than professionals? Your reasoning about pricing doesn’t quite add up. The software is built for content creators. If you’re after a lighter version, opt for the essential edition.
