You can use an admin account as a regular user now. It seems the default setting worked before, but Microsoft likely fixed that issue.

It's not ideal because it simplifies private security attempts, though it's fairly typical, and UAC helps lower the chance.

It doesn't matter which version you use—it works just as well. The admin account is the standard one. You can also have both admin and personal accounts, though it won't offer any real benefit for your needs.
