Last year I powered up my PC and everything worked fine until I tried certain programs—it wouldn’t let me in and I ended up losing my admin privileges, even though I was the sole user. My Microsoft account now flags me as needing admin assistance.

Clicking right-click and choosing "run as administrator" lets you verify your admin rights in Windows Settings under Users.

I attempted to verify through the control panel, but both indicate I’m an admin while lacking the necessary permissions.

It won't allow me to play games on Steam or install updates for Windows, and other tasks needing admin access aren't working either.
