The issue involves my 9 6950 X being clocked down to 1.8 GHz during gameplay, which isn't showing up in Cinebench. It doesn’t react to any actions in BIOS or Ryzen Master. Many people already understand this problem, and some might suggest resetting the BIOS or reinstalling all AMD software, though it may not be a clean process.

My cooler is a cool space where I stay, and my temperatures are stable and comfortable.

Which game is this? Badly optimized games might let the CPU and/or GPU stop handling work for a while, which can cause the clocks to slow down.

Is this the sole location where the issue appears? Have you attempted a fresh installation of the application? Also, have your graphics and chipset drivers been updated recently?

I recently played Horizon Zero Dawn and the game ran smoothly between 3.9 to 4.7 GHz. After that, I tried RDR2. Initially it worked well with similar stability, but after about five minutes it dropped to 1.8 GHz and then briefly spiked up to 4.2 GHz, though not significantly. Later I switched to HZD mode, which locked at around 3.8 GHz (the same result I see when running Cinebench). I’m curious how my CPU performance looks in-game—especially with the AMD software. It seems a bit high for me. Temperatures stayed around 60°C, and I’m using Auto OC as well. I hope my English is clear.

Adjusted the CPU voltage to 1.2 and set the clock speed to 4.600 GHz using Ryzen Master. The results were identical to before, with lower temperatures in both games.
